St Mirren: Jonathan Obika arrives on two-year deal as Sean McLoughlin joins on loan

St Mirren have signed English forward Jonathan Obika on a two-year deal and Irish centre-back Sean McLouglin on loan until January.
Former Tottenham Hotspur youth player Obika, 28, arrives after two seasons with Oxford United but has not played since a cruciate ligament injury suffered in October.
McLoughlin, 22, left Cork City last week to join Hull City.
"I'm powerful, I want to bring goals and pace," Obika said.
"I got a call from the gaffer and he told me about the club and the ambition for the season and it felt like a good fit for me.
"The Scottish Premiership draws a lot of attention and I have a few friends that have played in Scotland and they've said I have to experience it."
Former England Under-20 attacker Obika made four appearances for Spurs and had loan spells with the likes of Yeovil Town, Charlton Athletic and Brighton before a permanent move to Swindon Town in 2017.
He is St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin's seventh summer signing following the arrival of ex-Republic of Ireland Under-21 cap McLoughlin earlier in the day.
"Sean is one that we knew about," Goodwin said. "We watched a lot of footage of him and he's tipped for big things so we are delighted to have him in the squad."
McLoughlin, who has been loaned out by Hull to gain experience after 45 games for Cork, said: "I know the Scottish league is tough and challenging, with some massive teams and a huge fanbase. I'm looking forward to bettering myself and helping the team."
