Crystal Palace have signed Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa on loan.

Palace will have the option to buy the former Spain Under-21 international for £15m when his loan period ends at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Camarasa, 25, spent last season at Cardiff City, scoring five goals in 33 appearances as the Bluebirds were relegated from the Premier League.

He joined La Liga side Betis in 2017 after coming through the youth ranks at Levante.

Camarasa was named Players' Player of the Season during his loan spell with Cardiff City and won the club's Goal of the Season award for a strike against Leicester City.

Palace chairman Steve Parish said Camarasa would "offer us creativity in midfield".

Camarasa said: "I am very happy to be here, and I'm so excited to start with the group. I think Palace has great players and it is a great club. I'm going to work hard to play football, and I hope that the fans are excited with my football."

He becomes Palace's fourth signing of the summer after acquiring forward Jordan Ayew from Swansea, and free transfers in central defender Gary Cahill and goalkeeper Stephen Henderson.
