Dundee United say Lawrence Shankland injury is not serious after he was ruled out of Scotland's final Group I Euro 2020 qualifier with Kazakhstan.
Kilmarnock striker Eamonn Brophy, 23, who won his first cap against Cyprus in June, has replaced him in the squad.
Shankland was an unused substitute as Scotland won 2-1 on Saturday against Cyprus in Nicosia.
"He will return for assessment and is expected to be available for the Morton game," the club said on Twitter.
Steve Clarke's Scotland side host the Kazaks at Hampden on Tuesday.
