Leaders Liverpool extended their advantage at the top of the Premier League to 11 points with victory over Brighton, as champions Manchester City surrendered further points in the title race.

Southampton produced a late fightback to defeat Watford 2-1 at St Mary's in the day's late kick-off.
Ismaila Sarr had given the Hornets a first half lead, but goals from Danny Ings and then James Ward-Prowse with seven minutes left swung the game for Ralph Hasenhuttl's side. Watford remain bottom.
