Salford City have signed striker James Wilson from Aberdeen on an 18-month deal and Fleetwood defender Ash Eastham on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Wilson, 24, joined Aberdeen from Manchester United last summer, having scored four goals in 32 appearances on loan during the 2018-19 season.

But he has not found the net in 16 games this term and has been allowed to return to the Manchester area.

Eastham, 28, has played more than 150 matches for Fleetwood since 2016.

Having spent three seasons with Rochdale, where he helped them win promotion to League One, Eastham joined the Cod Army and reached the third-tier play-offs in his first season.

Wilson scored against Salford for Manchester United reserves in a pre-season friendly in July 2016.

The former England Under-21s player has also had loan spells with Brighton, Derby and Sheffield United.
