St Johnstone have completed loan deals for Bournemouth midfielder Matt Butcher and Middlesbrough winger Isaiah Jones.

Both have signed until the end of the season and Butcher could face Hearts in Saturday's Scottish Premiership game.

Butcher, 22, previously had a stint with English League Two club Yeovil Town, while 22-year-old Jones moved to Middlesbrough last summer from non-league side Tooting and Mitcham.

St Johnstone have also confirmed Callum Hendry, 22, has signed a new deal.

Hendry - son of former Scotland captain Colin - has scored five goals in all competitions this term and is "delighted" to have extended his stay until May 2022.

"I've been wanting to get it over the line for a while now," he said. "Since I've moved up here I've settled well and I've made a life for myself in Perth now."
