Charlton have signed Manchester City's Wales midfielder Matt Smith and Birmingham midfielder David Davis on loan until the end of the season.

Smith, 20, was recalled from his loan spell at Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers having played just eight league games.

Davis, 28, has played 13 times for Blues this season and has made almost 200 appearances for the club in total.

The Addicks have also signed Republic of Ireland international Aiden McGeady.

Smith, who has won seven Wales caps, is yet to make a first-team appearance for Manchester City. He will link up with international team-mates Jonny Williams and Tom Lockyer at The Valley.
