Rianna Dean scored a second-half penalty as Tottenham secured a narrow Women's Super League victory at Brighton.
The home team were up against it from the half-hour mark at the People's Pension Stadium, when France midfielder Lea Le Garrec was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Spurs made their numerical advantage count midway through the second period, Dean rifling a spot-kick past Megan Walsh and into the bottom-right corner after Angela Addison had been fouled by Kirsty Barton.
The win saw the visitors move up to sixth in the table, while Brighton remain ninth.
