Birmingham City Women 0-1 Bristol City Women
- Published
Bristol City beat relegation rivals Birmingham City in a scrappy match to climb off the bottom of the Women's Super League.
Blues, who were without England star Lucy Staniforth following a ban after an altercation with a Sunderland fan during last week's FA Cup tie, looked the dominant side throughout the game.
The hosts went closest in the first half through Brianna Visalli and Rachel Williams but Yana Daniels hit the woodwork for Bristol City in the 57th minute.
The Robins opened the scoring after 75 minutes when substitute Ebony Salmon slotted the ball past Hannah Hampton, with Olivia Chance hitting the crossbar late on.
