Portsmouth 3-1 Milton Keynes Dons

John Marquis scored his 14th goal of the season to help promotion-chasing Portsmouth to a 3-1 victory at home to 10-man MK Dons.

Andy Cannon and Marcus Harness were also on target as Pompey moved back into the League One play-off places.

The hosts got off to the perfect start when Cannon fired home his first goal for the club in the fourth minute after Dons defender Jordan Houghton had been caught in possession.

The visitors levelled in first-half added time - Rhys Healey was felled in the box by Ross McCrorie and Alex Gilbey was on hand to lash in the rebound after Alex Bass had saved his initial penalty.

Pompey were back in front four minutes after half-time as Marquis slotted in via the inside of the post from McCrorie's pullback.

Dons defender Carlton Morris was then shown a straight red card for hauling down Marquis when the Pompey scorer was through on goal.

Substitute Harness rounded goalkeeper Lee Nicholls to seal the points in stoppage time.
