Doncaster Rovers 3-1 Wycombe Wanderers

Doncaster reignited their League One play-off bid and continued the away day woes of Wycombe with a 3-1 win.

Strikes from Niall Ennis and Kieran Sadlier plus a Jason McCarthy own goal earned victory for Doncaster, with Adebayo Akinfenwa having briefly drawn the visitors level.

Wycombe dominated much of the opening half with Alex Samuel and Paul Smyth both having excellent chances before Doncaster grew into the game.

The hosts, looking to bounce back from successive away defeats, took the lead in the final minute of the half when Ennis slotted into the corner.

Jacob Ramsey almost doubled that advantage moments later but was denied by a fine save from Ryan Allsop.

Wycombe equalised after 67 minutes. Fred Onyedinma saw a volley blocked but the ball fell to Akinfenwa who calmly finished from 12 yards.

But Doncaster were back in front four minutes later as Sadlier pulled away at the back post to sidefoot in a free-kick from Ben Whiteman.

And they put the game to bed after 84 minutes when debutant Jason Lokilo curled in a cross which McCarthy turned into his own goal as he looked to clear.
