Brentford 5-0 Sheffield Wednesday: Thomas Frank says Bees are 'scarily good'

Brentford manager Thomas Frank described his side as "scary" after they thrashed Sheffield Wednesday 5-0 in the Championship.
Goals from Josh Dasilva, Emiliano Marcondes and Bryan Mbeumo put Brentford 3-0 up at the end of an opening period that saw them have over 80% of possession.
They were equally stunning in the second half, sealing a first league win since beating Middlesbrough on 8 February through Dasilva's second and Tariqe Fosu's late strike.
"We know when we are bang on it, that we are a really, really big threat. What we've got right this season is that our defending's even better." Frank told BBC Radio London.
The Bees opened the scoring when Dasilva's left-footed shot went through the legs of Cameron Dawson to give the hosts an early lead.
A Mbeumo corner found Marcondes who produced a stunning 25-yard right-footed strike to double their lead on 18 minutes.
And Mbuemo's goal on half time ensured Wednesday, who suffered a ninth defeat in 14 league games, went into the break 3-0 down for the second consecutive league outing.
The Bees returned from the break full of confidence and took advantage of a long spell of possession with Dasilva getting their fourth from 10 yards out.
Fosu made it five in the 82nd minute, after driving a low shot into the bottom corner thanks to an assist from Said Benrahma.
Afterwards, though, it was Brentford's defenders who attracted special praise from 43-year-old Frank.
"The big headline today was the desire to defend," he said.
"I know that sounds crazy when we won 5-0, but we know that we try to play attractive, offensive football and we try to dominate the matches.
"When we got on top of the game and created chances we were scary. But, we conceded too many goals in February, so today was a big, big thing. [The players] defended with their lives."
Brentford are now fourth in the Championship on 60 points, with Garry Monk's Wednesday 15th on 48 points.
The defeat means Sheffield Wednesday have won just once in the Championship since beating Leeds 2-0 at Elland Road on 11 January.
Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"There are very few times I'm lost for words. It's inexcusable. Once again, [there were] ridiculous goals against us. I felt we were hiding today.
"That's been the problem for quite a long period now. I'm very embarrassed.
"It's very tough to take, and for the fans behind the goal. I feel very sorry for them at this moment in time.
"I'm completely sorry to the fans. I've always tried to give everything and unfortunately we aren't getting the responses needed. I'm not a quitter."
