Player Rater: De Bruyne is the star of the Man City show
- Published
It was a night in which deposed champions Manchester City made a point, hammering Liverpool - the team that have taken their title - 4-0.
There were a number of outstanding displays by players in City shirts, but it was Kevin de Bruyne who once again stood head and shoulders above them all.
Having scored one goal and made another, the midfielder earned an average rating from you in our Player Rater of 8.55.
This put him ahead of fellow midfielder Phil Foden, who registered a score of 7.99, and forward Raheem Sterling, who received 7.76.
The highest average score for a Liverpool player? That would be Jordan Henderson with 4.16. Ouch.
