Luke McCormick: Plymouth Argyle re-sign goalkeeper for third spell at club

Luke McCormick has rejoined Plymouth after his contract at Swindon expired

Plymouth Argyle have re-signed goalkeeper Luke McCormick for a third spell with the Devon club.

The 36-year-old has spent the past two years at Swindon, who were promoted from League Two alongside Argyle.

McCormick was released by the Pilgrims in the summer of 2018, having played 190 times in five years during his second stint at Home Park.

He began his career at Argyle in 2000 and helped the club win promotion to the second tier in 2004.

McCormick has played 347 games in all competitions for Plymouth, putting him 18th on Argyle's all-time appearance list.

"We are very pleased to have been able to bring Luke back to the club," Argyle manager Ryan Lowe told the club website. , external

"He has got great experience, it's obviously a club close to his heart, and he is a favourite of the Green Army.

"We feel Luke will provide good competition with Mike Cooper for the first-team position."
