Luton Town 3-1 Norwich City: James Collins hat-trick sinks Canaries

James Collins has now scored 59 goals since joining Luton in the summer of 2017

Luton striker James Collins hit a late hat-trick to knock Norwich City out of the Carabao Cup in the first round.

The Canaries, relegated from the Premier League last season, were without 15 first-team players because of international call-ups.

It took Luton until the 79th minute to make the breakthrough when Collins scored from the penalty spot after Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu had been fouled in the area.

Daniel Farke's men levelled through debutant Kieran Dowell but two late close-range finishes from Collins gave Luton the win.
