Blackpool 2-0 Swindon Town

CJ Hamilton scored both goals as Blackpool picked up their first win of the campaign with a 2-0 victory over Swindon that delighted the socially-distanced crowd at Bloomfield Road.

The match was one of seven in the English Football League used as a pilot event to reintroduce crowds on Saturday and they witnessed the Seasiders finally find the net this season after three games without a goal.

Swindon defender Zeki Fryers was able to breathe a sigh relief when Bez Lubala's scuffed shot was saved by Matej Kovar after he had been dispossessed in his own penalty area by Hamilton.

But Blackpool were able to open their account for the campaign four minutes before half-time when Hamilton shot past Kovar at his near post.

Hamilton doubled his and the Seasiders' tally two minutes after the restart when he cut inside from the right before producing a powerful finish.

Hallam Hope almost gave Swindon a route back into the game when he struck the inside of the post, while Ethan Robson hit the bar for the hosts late in the game.
