Andrew Shinnie & Paul Smyth: Charlton Athletic sign duo on loan

Andrew Shinnie has only featured for Championship side Luton in the Carabao Cup this season

Charlton Athletic have signed midfielders Andrew Shinnie and Paul Smyth on season-long loans from Luton and QPR respectively.

Shinnie, 31, capped once by Scotland in 2012, was a regular in the Luton side that won promotion from the third tier in 2018-19.

Northern Ireland international Smyth, 23, has previously had loan spells with Accrington and Wycombe in League One.

They could both feature against Wigan on Saturday.
