FA Cup: Eastbourne Borough 0-3 Blackpool highlights

Gary Madine struck twice as Blackpool continued their excellent recent form to end the FA Cup run of National League South side Eastbourne Borough.

Blackpool, FA Cup winners back in 1953, had won three of their last four games in League One and are now a step closer to reaching the third round of the cup for a fourth time in five seasons.

Madine broke the deadlock early in the second half as he picked up James Husband's cross from the left and scooped a left-foot shot into the bottom-right corner.

The striker effectively sealed the outcome 10 minutes later as he headed Jordan Gabriel's free-kick into the path of Jerry Yates, who laid the ball back for Madine to slide home.

Yates added a third in stoppage time with a smart finish from a tight angle for his third goal of the season.

Eastbourne, who came through three rounds of qualifying, failed in their bid to reach the FA Cup second round for the first time in their history.

Their best chance came early in the game as James Ferry's long ball sent Greg Luer in on goal but Chris Maxwell made a smart save.
