Grassroots matches and contact training are not allowed under tier four restrictions

Non-contact training is the only grassroots football allowed in tier four lockdown areas, the Scottish FA has confirmed.

On Friday 11 council areas come under the toughest Covid-19 restrictions for at least three weeks.

While the professional game can continue, grassroots matches and contact training are not permitted.

The Scottish FA is seeking "further clarification" on travel restrictions in and out of level four areas.
