Queens Park Rangers' winless run in the Championship extended to six games as they were held to a dour goalless draw at home to Stoke City.
The visitors almost took the lead as the game drew on when Nick Powell met Morgan Fox's cross but he headed over the bar.
At the other end, Robert Dickie teed up Lyndon Dykes for QPR but his shot from outside the box went over the bar.
Chris Willock could have stolen three points for the Rs late on but his long-range shot went high and wide of the mark.
The result lifts Stoke a place to seventh in the Championship table and two points outside the play-off places
Meanwhile, QPR's last victory was their 3-2 win against Rotherham in November.
Stoke were without influential striker Tyrese Campbell who could miss the rest of the campaign with a serious knee injury.
The 20-year-old has the most Championship goals and assists for the Potters and his absence was felt as the limp opening half saw few chances to either side.
The match took place with 2,000 fans in attendance at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. However, it could be the final fixture for QPR with fans for a while with London moving into England's highest tier of coronavirus restrictions on Wednesday.
Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Warburton:
"We started the game well but to be fair to Stoke they started the second half in the same fashion. We were chasing shadows in the first 15 minutes of the second half.
"I thought the boys showed a lot of character on the hour mark because we were under the cosh.
"Stoke were throwing men forward and have good players, good presence and a lot of experience in their squad. But our players stood up as a team and defended the goal. Then we started to come into the game more."
Stoke City boss Michael O'Neill:
"I thought there were periods of the game where we were quite dominant and had a lot of control.
"We probably just didn't do enough in the final third. We had a lot of opportunities to get good balls in the box.
"Overall I thought we had a lot of good play and looked assured at the back. I'm a little disappointed not to come away with more but if we're honest we maybe just didn't do enough."
