Rotherham P-P Cardiff: Championship game off after snow at New York Stadium
- Published
Rotherham United's Championship match against Cardiff City has been postponed "in the interest of player safety".
The referee inspected the pitch and consulted with both managers before deciding to postpone the game just over an hour before kick-off on Saturday.
Rotherham said a snow flurry and the prospect of more snow to come was also factored into the decision.
Cardiff City manager Neil Harris had admitted the game was "huge" for him as he battles to keep his role.
A new date for the fixture will be announced in the coming days.
