Tony Andreu will bring "quality" to Ross County, says John Hughes, after making the Frenchman his first signing.

And the Scottish Premiership bottom club have also added midfielder Mohamed Maouche until the summer.

Attacker Andreu, 32, who earned a £1m move to Norwich City from Hamilton Academical in 2015, spent last season with St Mirren and has also turned out for Livingston and Dundee United.

"Tony has good experience in the Premiership," said Hughes.

"You can look at his times with Hamilton, St Mirren and other clubs and see he can add that bit of quality."

French-Algerian Maouche also arrives in Dingwall as a free agent, having spent the last three seasons with Oldham Athletic.

"Mohamed is a player that will feel he has a point to prove and we believe he can add to the group," said Hughes of the 27-year-old.

"He has that bit of flair about him that can spark special moments in games."

Maoche is unavailable for a debut against Livingston on Sunday as he has to complete a period of isolation before joining the County squad.
