St Mirren have signed Eamonn Brophy on loan from Kilmarnock prior to a permanent summer move after also securing fellow striker Collin Quaner.
Quaner, a 29-year-old German who has been without a club since leaving Huddersfield Town in the summer, has signed until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old Brophy had already agreed to join St Mirren this summer.
He told St Mirren's website he had "a number of options" but thought the Paisley club "felt right for me".
"I've watched the team a number of times this season and I like the way they play and I think it will suit me," Brophy said.
Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer had suggested he would no longer pick Brophy for his team after he had agreed his three-year contract with St Mirren.
However, the Scotland striker, who joined Kilmarnock from Hamilton Academical in 2017 and has scored three times this season, could now make his debut for his new side at home to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
'We're very lucky to get him'
Quaner will have to wait until next weekend's game against St Johnstone to be available, but manager Jim Goodwin is enthusiastic about the capture of the striker who made five appearances last season for Huddersfield in England's second tier.
"He comes with a real good pedigree," he said. "He's 6ft 3in, a really good athlete with a great turn of pace.
"He's been training with Schalke for the last couple of months and he's been looking after himself. We're very lucky to get him."
Quaner began his career with Fortuna Dusseldorf before spells with Arminia Bielefeld, Ingolstadt 04, Hansa Rostock, Aaelen and then Union Berlin in Germany's second tier before moving to the UK in 2017.
He made 31 appearances in his first season for Huddersfield without scoring and spent part of his second year at Kirklees Stadium on loan to Championship rivals Ipswich Town.
