Referee Thomas Bramall (right) explains his decision to postpone the match to Oxford United assistant coach Craig Short
Saturday's League One fixture between Northampton Town and Oxford United has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the PTS Academy Stadium.
Heavy rain on Thursday, overnight on Friday and into Saturday led to referee Thomas Bramall calling the game off after a pitch inspection.
"The pitch is very wet and, as always, the safety of the players is of paramount importance," he said.
A new date for the fixture will be arranged in due course.
