Borussia Monchengladbach 4-2 Borussia Dortmund: Home side claim shock victory
- Published
Borussia Dortmund suffered a second-straight Bundesliga defeat as they were upset by local rivals Borussia Monchengladbach.
Erling Braut Haaland's first-half double - a fine chip and a then a shot on the turn - gave the visitors a 2-1 lead after Nico Elvedi's headed opener.
But Elvedi levelled from close range before strikes by Ramy Bensebaini and Marcus Thuram secured victory.
Monchengladbach had lost their previous 11 matches against Dortmund.
Edin Terzic's Dortmund side are now fifth in the Bundesliga after taking just one point from their past three games while victory moves Monchengladbach two points ahead of them into fourth.
Terciz replaced Lucien Favre as Dortmund boss in December but they sit 10 points off leaders Bayern Munich, having played a game more.
You can stream five fourth-round games live on the BBC this weekend, including Liverpool's trip to Manchester United. Find out more here.
