Kilmarnock have signed striker George Oakley on a deal until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old Englishman was most recently with Bulgaria's Pirin Blagoevgrad.

He has experience of Scottish football with Hamilton and Inverness Caley Thistle, scoring four goals in 27 appearances for Accies last season.

"I'm an old fashioned number nine but I like to run and make moves off the ball to help the team," said Oakley.

"I'm a pest that'll bring people into play, do the graft and chase lost causes."

Speaking before the deal was completed, manager Alex Dyer said: "He fitted in straight away, the lads know him from the past, they've had good battles with him so he'd be a good addition to the squad.

Meanwhile, Dyer says no-one at the club has been asked to take a wage cut.

Killie are to apply for a £1m loan from the Scottish government to ensure the club survives this season.
