Luton Town have bolstered their attacking options with deadline day moves for Stoke City forward Tom Ince and Walsall striker Elijah Adebayo.

Ince, 28, has signed on loan until the end of the season, while 23-year-old Adebayo has joined for an undisclosed fee on an undisclosed-length deal.

Ince joined Stoke from Huddersfield Town in a £10m deal in 2018.

He has since scored nine goals in 88 games, but has started just two league games this season.

Having started his career at Liverpool, where his father and former England midfielder Paul played, Ince has had permanent spells at Blackpool, Hull and Derby County - who paid £4.75m for him in 2015 - before moving to Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee in 2017.

"He's a player I know very well from my time at Stoke," Luton boss Nathan Joes told the club website.

"He'll give us real quality in the final third and it just shows one, the ambition here, and two, the reputation we are starting to build that we can attract him."

Adebayo has scored 10 times in League Two this season having joined the Saddlers in 2019 after being released by Fulham.

He comes in after Elliot Lee left for Oxford United, with the Hatters 13th in the Championship.

"He is someone who was coveted by a lot of clubs, because he's one that has massive, massive potential," added Jones.

"He's a big physical presence, something that we haven't got, and he's someone that we've been watching for a while.

"For us to get him shows that once again that we are not just content with signing players for now, but we are looking towards the future and he's one that will develop here and hopefully become a top player for us."
