Midfielders Jon Toral and Dan Crowley are among 13 players released by Birmingham City boss Lee Bowyer.

But Blues have offered a new deal to Croatian international Alen Halilović.

Defender Steve Seddon, who impressed at the end of the season following Bowyer's arrival, Charlie Lakin, Tate Campbell and Leo Dos Reis have all earned 12-month contract extensions.

As well as Halilovic, 24, striker Caolan Boyd-Munce, 21 and midfielder Ryan Stirk have been offered new deals.

Ryan Burke, Jayden Reid, Geraldo Bajrami, Jack Concannon, Josh Dacres-Cogley, Miguel Fernandez, Ivan Guzman, Remeao Hutton, Agus Medina, Joe Redmond and Bernard Sun have all left.

But five Blues Under-18 players have been offered their first professional contract - Alfie Chang, Amari Miller, Marcel Oakley, Remi Walker and Josh Williams.

Toral's departure is his second from St Andrew's, having initially been signed on loan by then boss Gary Rowett from Arsenal on a season's loan in 2015.

He joined Hull City for £3m in January 2017 before Aitor Karanka brought him back to Blues in August 2020.

Toral only started 11 games last season, making a further seven appearances as a substitute - but he only appeared twice, both times off the bench, once Bowyer had taken over.

Crowley, 23, made four early season appearances before spending the season on loan with Hull City, who he helped to the League One title, to win promotion back to the Championship.
