Ollie Cooper and Jake Cain: Newport County sign Swansea City and Liverpool midfielders on loan

Newport County have signed Swansea City's Ollie Cooper and Liverpool's Jake Cain on season-long loans.
Cooper, the son of former Wolves midfielder Kevin, becomes Newport's 14th signing of the transfer window.
The 21-year-old signed a new contract with the Swans last February to extend his stay with the Championship club until at least the summer of 2023.
Cain, 19, made his senior Liverpool debut in February 2020 in an FA Cup fourth-round replay against Shrewsbury.
"It was a last-minute dash to get it all done in time but I'm really glad to be here," said Cooper.
"Hopefully I can show people what I can do when I'm given the opportunity to get on the pitch."
Cain, who signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool in July 2020, said: "It's the first loan of my career and it's a new challenge for me, so I'm really excited to get going and show the fans what I can do."
Newport manager Mike Flynn added: "Ollie is a player that we kept close tabs on last season and I'm sure he will add a lot of quality to our midfield.
"Jake is a player who's been at Liverpool for a long time and I'm sure he's got a very bright future ahead of him.
"He's played plenty of academy football and also had some first-team exposure in some big Champions League games, but I'm sure this will be a great season for his development."
