Middlesbrough have signed Slovenia striker Andraz Sporar from Sporting Lisbon and Rennes' Cameroon midfielder James Lea Siliki on season-long loans.
Sporar, 27 moved to Sporting in January 2020 and spent the second half of last season on loan at Braga.
He scored 34 goals in 36 games to help Slovan Bratislava win the Slovakian title in 2019.
Siliki, 25, won the French Cup with Rennes in 2019 and made his Cameroon debut against Nigeria in June.
He has played more than 100 times for Rennes and featured in the Champions League and Europa League.
"James is another name that came up and he will be another good addition to the squad," Boro boss Neil Warnock told the club website.
"My contacts in France are very impressed with him and we feel he will add to what we have, particularly with his range of passing."
On Sporar, Warnock added: "He was a player who was highlighted early in the summer. We chased and persevered and we've got it over the line.
"He'll be a more than useful addition to the squad. We've only got Uche [Ikpeazu] and Josh [Coburn] so we're delighted to get him."
Sporar will link up with his new team-mates following the international break as he prepares for Slovenia's World Cup qualifying games against Slovakia, Malta, and Croatia.
