Charlton have signed Sam Lavelle from Morecambe for an undisclosed fee and brought in Harry Arter and Jonathan Leko on season-long loan deals.
Defender Lavelle, 24, scored six goals in 165 outings for the Shrimps and has agreed a three-year contract.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Arter, 31, began his career with the Addicks, coming through the club's academy and playing one senior game.
Birmingham forward Leko, 22, had a loan spell with Charlton during 2019-20.
The former West Bromwich Albion man scored five goals in 21 appearances during his stint at The Valley.
Further Forest departure
Arter is not the only midfielder departing the City Ground, with Nuno da Costa joining French second tier side Caen on loan for the campaign.
The 30-year-old midfielder signed in January 2020 from Strasbourg and spent last season on loan at Belgian side Royal Excel Mouscron.
