Stoke City have made two transfer deadline day signings, defender Demeaco Duhaney and striker Abdallah Sima.

After signing free-agent right-back Duhaney, 22, on a deal until January, they then tied up a late loan move for new Brighton signing Sima.

After joining Brighton from Slavia Prague, Senegal striker Sima, 20, was immediately loaned to the Potters.

Twice-capped Sima hit 16 goals and made seven assists in 39 games for Czech double winners Prague last season.

Duhaney has been without a club since being released this summer by Huddersfield Town, for whom he made 14 appearances last season.

He will provide competition for his former Terriers team-mate Tommy Smith.

The arrival of Duhaney and Sima takes Stoke boss Michael O'Neill's signings signings during the summer window to eight.

Stoke City lie fifth in the Championship table, having suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday at Fulham.
