Birmingham City ended their run of three successive defeats with a hard-earned point at in-form Huddersfield.
Blues goalkeeper Matija Sarkic made a good save to deny Danel Sinani in a cagey first half.
After the break, Town sub Fraizer Campbell hit the post twice either side of Blues midfielder Gary Gardner seeing a header go just wide of the post.
The point stops the rot for Lee Bowyer's side but they remain without a win since 10 September and have now failed to score in six successive games for the first time since March 1989.
It was a disappointing evening for Carlos Corberan's Terriers but the point does move them back up to sixth in the table.
Campbell came incredibly close to a dramatic winning goal in injury time when his long-range effort thundered off the post.
In truth, that shot was out of keeping with a match that lacked quality.
Blues host in-form Swansea on Saturday looking to end a seven-match winless streak, while Town visit unbeaten league leaders Bournemouth on the same day.
Huddersfield boss Carlos Corberan told BBC Radio Leeds:
"The Championship is a marathon. When I watch them compete how they did I have a lot of confidence.
(On sixth clean sheet) "I haven't prioritised the defence. It's true we wanted to create more chances but it was not easy.
"I don't want to just analyse the performance on the result because, if we had scored through Campbell, then everything we would be saying now would be positive."
Birmingham City boss Lee Bowyer told BBC Radio WM:
"On another night we'd take all three points but I can't fault the players' fighting spirit. Once again, they've given everything.
"I have never had a team go so long without scoring. My teams always score. I feel for them but there are positives to take. It would have been easy for them to hide.
"Do you want to lose 2, 3, 4-0 every week? This is the way we stayed in the division last season. It is not as pretty as I would like it to be. Something had to change so that's what I have done."
