Callum Lang's 90th-minute winner saw Wigan Athletic move up to second in League One as they claimed a thrilling victory at fellow high-fliers Plymouth Argyle.
Will Keane gave Wigan the lead as he tapped in from close range after a mistake by goalkeeper Michael Cooper, but Danny Mayor levelled powerfully from inside the box soon after.
Cooper made amends for his error with a good 85th-minute save from substitute Stephen Humphreys after the striker had wriggled clear in the area.
But Lang sealed the points as he fired low past Cooper after a good ball by Keane.
The loss was Plymouth's third in succession having not previously been beaten in the league since the opening day of the season and Ryan Lowe's side slip to fourth in the table.
Wigan warmed up for the game in t-shirts supporting striker Charlie Wyke, who collapsed at training at the start of the week and is still in hospital.
Argyle could have been in front inside the first three minutes when a clearance bounced off a Wigan defender and sent Luke Jephcott through on goal, but the Wales Under-21 striker pulled his shot wide.
Conor Grant and Panutche Camara both had shots blocked for the hosts while Jack Whatmough saw a shot deflected for Wigan before his side took the lead.
James McClean broke into the area and Cooper dived at his feet and appeared to gather the ball, but it squirmed away and McClean squared to Keane for a simple finish.
Argyle boss Lowe took off Jephcott soon after with Jordan Garrick replacing him, and a few minutes later the Swansea loanee set up Mayor who blasted in from 10 yards out.
Wigan started the second half the better side and should have gone ahead when Keane and McClean were foiled by Dan Scarr after a goalmouth scramble.
Argyle increased the pressure as the half went on, but could not find a way past the Wigan defence despite bringing on an extra striker in Kieran Agard in the final 10 minutes as Ryan Broom and Camara saw efforts go off target.
But it was the visitors who took the spoils in the final moments as Lang's goal ended a difficult week on a high note.
