Two goals from Keinan Davis helped Nottingham Forest to a 4-0 Championship win against Reading.
The forward's opener inside 17 seconds was the league's quickest goal of the season.
Davis added a second in the second half before Ryan Yates and Sam Surridge made the points safe.
The victory moves Forest up to 55 points, two away from the play-off places, and leaves Reading in 21st on 29, four points above the relegation zone.
Forest were ahead inside a minute as Davis scored with his first touch after Djed Spence got away down the right in a dream start for the hosts.
Forest keeper Ethan Horvarth kept out Michael Morrison's chance after the ball had ricocheted to the defender from a corner before saving Yakou Meite's effort from a tight angle.
The home side began to turn the screw in the second half and Davis was celebrating his second just after the hour, sending two Reading players the wrong way before darting into the box and firing a left-foot shot into the net via the post.
Yates' powerful strike from 25 yards extinguished any threat of a comeback from the visitors.
Substitute Surridge added a fourth with a first-time effort following Xande Silva's ball into the box as the hosts extended their unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions.
Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper speaking to PA Media:
"It was a brilliant start to the game, not just because we scored but because of how we scored. It was a brilliant second goal from Keinan - and the third and fourth were equally good. We got into good positions and, when we do that, we know we have the technical ability to score.
"The first goal was the most pleasing, however, because we have been doing a lot of work with Keinan about his positioning, about his movement in the box, and he was in the right place to score in the first few seconds of the game. It all paid off for him."
Reading boss Paul Ince:
"To lose a goal that quickly was just unacceptable. We dug in after that in the first half and had two very good chances to equalise. Michael Morrison might have scored and Josh Laurent should have, although he was excellent today.
"But when the second goal went in, for some reason, we just capitulated. We have a soft belly and you can see why this team has conceded goals in the past. They need to dig in and they are not digging in. That is disappointing, because it is us going back to old habits.
