Chris Martin and Andreas Weimann scored twice as Bristol City romped to a 5-0 win over Hull City, securing back-to-back victories for the first time this season.
Weimann open the Robins' account after only five minutes with his 21st goal of the campaign.
Antoine Semenyo doubled the lead with a strike into the bottom corner and Chris Martin capped a fine attacking display 60 seconds later, after being set up by the 22-year-old.
Martin then made it four early in the second half, before Austria striker Weimann added a fifth with a chip over Nathan Baxter as Bristol City recorded their biggest win of the season.
Nigel Pearson's side have struggled with consistency all season but one major positive has been the improvement to their threat in front of goal. Weimann, Martin and Semenyo now have 42 goals between them.
The Austrian struck first with a goal that started from Bristol City keeper Dan Bentley at the back, from which Semenyo set up Weimann who took the ball over Nathan Baxter.
Semenyo then put his own name on the scoresheet, pouncing on a Hull mistake in midfield and rifling the ball into the left corner. He was involved again a minute later, playing in Martin who only had to tap in as the home side ripped Hull's defence to pieces.
Martin got his second before the hour mark, stealing the ball off Sean McLoughlin and running down half of the pitch before stroking the ball beyond Baxter in a one-on-one.
Weimann completed the rout eight minutes from time with a delicate chip into the net from close range as Bristol City successfully backed up their win over Derby last week.
The Robins stay 17th, but are now five points clear of 18th-placed Hull.
Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson told BBC Radio Bristol:
"It's a really positive way to finish the season at home. I suppose one of the questions will be why has it not happened earlier. I always like to concentrate on what the positives are and I think today was such a comprehensive win, it's important that we enjoy it.
"For all three of the strike force to get on the scoresheet again is very, very important. Andi getting two, Chrissy getting two, Antoine one, it's just shows you where we are and the types of players that we have and to keep a clean sheet too was very important.
"I think the message for our fans to go home with is also very important too and that is that we'll do everything we can to improve on where we are at the moment."
Hull City manager Shota Arveladze told BBC Radio Humberside:
"There's too short time to find out what happened today and give you an answer. There was a little bit the impression that says the season is over or something like that; get soft, get easy. Starting with myself I gave the wrong impression last week.
"Even though we tried to prepare the same way as we've done all the time, our work analysing, but it was not enough probably and it cost us what it cost.
"Maybe my body language, my voice, I was quiet maybe on the field giving the messages. There's no point giving this performance like the season is just over before the game. Our season is not over and these boys they've never done this, shown this.
"But today was very slow, sloppy, easy everything slow, everything slow, thinking slow, actions slow, give the opponent anything they wish to play the game they do.
"I'm angry but of course I'm disappointed as well."
