Why are we doing this and how can you participate?

The BBC is inviting Premier League fans to submit memorabilia from their favourite club to be featured on the BBC Sport website during the 2022-23 season.

The BBC will collect the personal data via an online platform used by the BBC.

When you contribute to the BBC, we may use your contribution for our website content, but we cannot promise to use everything that we receive. It may also include use on the BBC's social media channels.

What personal data will the BBC collect?

You must be 18 years or older to participate.

The BBC will collect and process the following personal data about you:

  • Full name

  • Location

  • The Premier League football team you support

  • A photo and description of your memorabilia.

Who is the Data Controller?

The BBC is the "data controller" of your personal data. This means that the BBC decides what your personal data is used for, and the ways in which it is processed. For the avoidance of doubt, your personal data will be collected and processed solely for the purposes set out in this privacy notice. The BBC will retain the personal data of submissions it does not use for sixty (60) days from the date of upload, after which time it will be deleted.

If your contribution is used on our website, your personal data will be retained and archived in perpetuity by the BBC.
