Dwight McNeil: Everton closing in on Burnley winger after signing Ruben Vinagre

McNeil has made 147 appearances for Burnley, scoring seven goals
Everton are closing in on a deal to sign Burnley winger Dwight McNeil.
The 22-year-old is understood to be undergoing a medical with a deal agreed that could be worth in the region of £20m.
Toffees boss Frank Lampard is keen to strengthen his attacking options after Richarlison's £60m move to Tottenham.
Everton have also completed a season-long loan deal for Sporting Lisbon defender Ruben Vinagre.
The 23-year-old left-back spent last season on loan with Sporting from Wolves, before completing a permanent move in June.
"It's a dream come true to join a big club like Everton," Vinagre said.
"The opportunity to work with very good players and a very good coach in Frank Lampard made me excited to sign.
"The manager is a football legend. Everybody knows him and the opportunity to work with and learn from him and someone like Ashley Cole - one of football's best left-backs - is very big for me."
Vinagre will reunite with the Toffees' director of football Kevin Thelwell, who first brought him to England in 2017 when he was sporting director at Wolves.
"Kevin was important, too, because he knows me very well from when we worked together at Wolves," added Vinagre.
"He explained to me about Everton's proud history and the qualities you need here because it's a very big club and you have to give everything for the supporters."
McNeil would be the second arrival at Everton from Burnley this summer after they signed defender James Tarkowski on a free transfer, while talks had also been held about a move for Clarets' forward Max Cornet.
The winger came through the ranks at Burnley, making his first appearance in 2017 and going on to make 147 appearances, the last of which saw the Clarets relegated on the final day of the 2021-22 season.
