Nottingham Forest moved into the third round of the Carabao Cup with a comfortable win at League Two Grimsby.
Forest manager Steve Cooper made 11 changes to the side that began the 1-1 Premier League draw at Everton on Saturday.
But they were still too strong for the hosts, who made six changes themselves.
Ryan Yates opened the scoring with a superb volley while Sam Surridge scored either side of the break to round off a comfortable victory.
Substitute Ryan Taylor went closest to scoring for the hosts, heading against the crossbar early in the second period.
The next round of the competition is scheduled to take place between 8-9 November.
