Brighton will travel to Arsenal in the third round of the Carabao Cup after beating League One Forest Green Rovers.
Deniz Undav - making his first start - put the Premier League side in front when he slotted home at the near post.
Steven Alzate doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time with a left-footed effort from distance.
Teenager Evan Ferguson wrapped up a comfortable victory for the Seagulls by netting in the final minute with a clever flick.
Brighton boss Graham Potter made 11 changes from the side that beat West Ham 2-0 on Sunday, with his starting line-up having an average age of only 22.
The hosts limited their space early on but it did not take long for the game to open up.
Ferguson, 17, was a bright spark on the wing and provided the assist for the opening goal, releasing Undav with a ball to feet before the German forward clinically slotted home.
The hosts looked to play passing football when they could, but found themselves being caught out by the energy of the Brighton forward line.
And it was Alzate who netted the second - shooting home after Forest Green failed to close him down.
The home side fought hard as they tried to find a way back into the game but Ferguson wrapped things up with virtually the final kick of the game after Cameron Peupion's cutback.
