Wolves have agreed a season-long loan with Metz for midfielder Boubacar Traore.

The deal includes an 11m euro (£9.5m) option to buy the 21-year-old Mali youth international.

Having given Leander Dendoncker permission to join Aston Villa, Wolves officials flew to France on Thursday afternoon to conclude the deal.

Traore made 27 appearances for relegated Metz last season, scoring once and registering one assist.

He has played in three of Metz's six Ligue 2 games this season.

Wolves technical director Scott Sellars said: "Our recruitment team have been monitoring Boubacar for some time and have been thoroughly impressed by his output in Ligue 1 over the past 12 months, his continued development as a young player and his consistent impact upon games."

His move to Molineux is subject to a visa and work permit.

Wolves sold Ivory Coast defender Willy Boly to Nottingham Forest earlier on deadline day.
