Everton have confirmed the departure of Brazilian midfielder Allan to United Arab Emirates club Al-Wahda for an undisclosed fee.

Allan, 31, joined Everton in a deal worth more than £21m in 2020 from Italian side Napoli.

He played 52 Premier League games in his first two seasons but did not make an appearance in this campaign.

Manager Frank Lampard signed several midfielders over the summer, including Idrissa Gueye and Amadou Onana.

UAE Pro League side Al Wahda, who are based in Abu Dhabi, announced the signing of the former Brazil international on their Twitter feed on Sunday.

Al Wahda are managed by former Swansea City and Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal, with ex-Leicester City midfielder Adrien Silva among the squad.
