England at the World Cup: Your Three Lions team for Qatar
- Published
England boss Gareth Southgate has no more games left to decide his World Cup squad for Qatar. Thankfully, you're here to give him a helping hand.
We asked you to select the starting XI you would field for the Three Lions' opener against Iran on Monday, 21 November.
Over 78,000 had a go at selecting a squad, opting predominantly for a 4-3-3 formation. There is no surprise to see Harry Kane as the most picked player, making 93.43% of teams.
Defence is where people are most split, with fierce competition at full-back - Reece James just edging out Trent Alexander-Arnold by fewer than 3,000 votes and Luke Shaw beating Ben Chilwell by around 2,000. Eric Dier is a low-backed partner for John Stones in the middle.
There is also a battle in midfield, with Phil Foden's versatility making him your preferred selection alongside Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham.
You can still pick your England XI using the selector below, but your choices will not go towards the final result.
