FA Cup: Merthyr Town 2-1 Folkestone Invicta: Martyrs reach first round

Merthyr Town secured their place in the FA Cup first round for the first time since 2005 with victory over Folkestone Invicta.
The hosts had the perfect start, taking the lead in the first minute with a close-range header by Lewis Powell from Fraser Thomas' cross.
Alex John's fine volley doubled the lead for Paul Michael's side.
Isthmian League Premier Division side Folkestone pulled a goal back when a cross struck Merthyr's Tom Handley.
The Martyrs, who play in the Southern League Premier Division South, lost 2-1 at home to Walsall when they last appeared in the first round in 2005.
Merthyr Town manager Paul Michael told BBC Radio Wales Sport:
"My nerves were totally shot. We were scintillating for 25 minutes and then we made it hard work for ourselves.
"It was electric when we were on top and creating chances at the start, and the supporters got right behind us and helped see us home when we were nervy and hanging on.
"This fantastic fanbase that's turned out today, there's people crying and you can see how much it means to people.
"These are moments hopefully these guys will never forget, as players and staff we'll never forget them. It's a great moment to share together."
