Blackpool striker Gary Madine will face no Football Association (FA) action over his clash with Cardiff City defender Perry Ng.

Ex-Bluebirds player Madine was booked for a heavy challenge on Ng in the second half of Saturday's Championship draw at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Cardiff boss Mark Hudson accused Madine, 32, of a premeditated stamp on his player.

However, it is understood the FA will not take disciplinary action.

Madine will not be sanctioned for the challenge because it was dealt with at the time by referee Josh Smith.

Hudson said Cardiff's staff had warned the match officials that Madine said at half-time he "was going to go out and do Perry" in the second period after a "coming together" involving the two players before the break.

While the alleged half-time incident would be considered as a potential separate issue from the challenge, the FA will not be pursuing that matter.

Madine, who did not find score during a two-year spell at Cardiff, equalised for Blackpool in Saturday's 1-1 draw in the Welsh capital.

"It's premeditated. He said it at half-time," Hudson had said after the game.

"It's a stamp. It's a leg-breaker. I'm disappointed with the fact the guy who scored their goal shouldn't be on the pitch."

Cardiff's players were furious at the referee's failure to dismiss Madine for the challenge.

"We warned the ref. We warned the fourth official," Hudson added.

"He (Madine) said it out loud, that he was going to go out and do that. They were aware of it and it's clear as day. It's a stamp.

"[Madine] said he was going to go out and do Perry. Because there was a coming together in the first half.

"He felt that was the way he wanted to go about it and he has gone out and done exactly what he said he was going to do."

Hudson added that Ng was lucky to escape serious injury.

"If he (Ng) gets his left planted in the floor, it's snapping his leg," he said.

"I watched it from four or five different angles, but you don't need to. You can see it live. It is premeditated and he hunted him down."

Blackpool have been asked to comment.
