Johann Berg Gudmundsson: Burnley midfielder extends contract

Johann Berg Gudmundsson has scored twice in 24 appearances in all competitions for Burnley this season

Burnley midfielder Johann Berg Gudmundsson has extended his contract until the end of next season.

The 32-year-old, whose previous deal expired later this term, joined the Clarets from Charlton in July 2016.

He has made 156 league appearances for the Turf Moor side.

Meanwhile, the club have signed forward Enock Agyei from Anderlecht on a four-and-a-half-year deal, with the 18-year-old joining fellow Belgian side K.V. Mechelen until the end of the season.

"I love the club and it's great news for me and my family to extend my stay for another year," the Iceland international told the club website.

"I spoke with Vincent and he persuaded me to come here and I think it is going to be a great chapter in my career," Ageyi added.
