Charlton Athletic have signed defender Tennai Watson and brought in James Abankwah, Slobodan Tedic and Louie Watson on season-long loan deals.

Full-back Watson, 26, has signed a two-year contract after leaving MK Dons.

Udinese centre-back Abankwah, 19, has played twice in Italy's Serie A while Luton midfielder Watson, 22, appeared nine times for the Hatters last season.

Serbian striker Tedic, 23, joins on loan from Manchester City following a stint with Barnsley last season.

He scored four goals in 29 outings for the Tykes in all competitions.

Charlton have signed 11 players during the summer transfer window.

"Tennai is a young defender with all the attributes we are looking for in a full-back," Addicks technical director Andy Scott told the club website., external

"We have had a number of injuries in our midfield area and so the acquisition of Louie will complement the group well and give us more strength in depth.

"James is a player that I watched a number of years ago in Ireland and I have followed his career ever since.

"We hope Boban can show everybody at Charlton the quality that he has and that he can go one step further than he did with Barnsley last season in League One."
