Wrexham signed Millwall midfielder George Evans and Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo on transfer deadline day.

Evans, 28, who can also play as a centre-back, has signed a two-year deal at the Stok Racecourse.

Okonkwo, 21, has yet to play for the Gunners' senior team and arrives on loan for the remainder of the season.

Evans came through the ranks at Manchester City and has also played for Reading and Derby County.

He joined Millwall in 2021 and made 60 appearances for the Championship club.

Evans said: "I'm really excited to sign and I'm desperate to get going. I'm ready for a big challenge and hopefully a really positive season."

Cheadle-born Evans has represented England at under-17 and under-19 level.

Okonkwo is a former England Under-16s, 17s and 18s international and has had loan spells at Austrian club Sturm Graz and Crewe Alexandra.

"I know that the club had a great season last year, and it's good to see how the club has a plan to progress up the leagues," said Okonkwo.

"The passion the fans, the owners and the club have to keep moving forward is really good."
