Romelu Lukaku scored twice as Roma hit four for the second consecutive game in their 4-1 victory at bottom club Cagliari in Serie A.

After starting the season with just two wins in seven matches Roma have now won three on the bounce, scoring 10 goals and conceding just once in that run.

Lukaku's double means the Belgium forward has nine goals in 10 games for club and country this season.

He joined Roma on loan from Chelsea this summer.

After Houssem Aouar opened the scoring for the visitors in the 19th minute, Lukaku netted fewer than 60 seconds later, deflecting in Rick Karsdorp's dangerous cross.

Andrea Belotti added another before Lukaku completed the rout with a cool side-footed finish after 59 minutes.

Nahitan Nandez scored a late consolation penalty for Cagliari, who remain winless after eight Serie A matches.

Jose Mourinho's Roma are 10th in the table.
