SPFL Trust Trophy: Dundee United one of four Championship sides through to quarter-finals

Scottish Championship leaders Dundee United are one of four second-tier sides through to the quarter-finals of the SPFL Trust Trophy after a 2-0 win against League 2 Peterhead.
Glenn Middleton's long-range free kick after just seven minutes, and Tony Watt's wonderful curling shot after the break, gave Jim Goodwin's side a hard-fought victory at Balmoor.
United are joined in the quarter-finals by division rivals Raith Rovers, Greenock Morton, and Arbroath.
Queen's Park were the only second-tier side not to make it through on Saturday, after they were beaten 1-0 by League 1 leaders Falkirk.
Welsh champions The New Saints, the only non-Scottish side left in the competition, also made it through after triumphing 5-4 on penalties against East Fife, following a 2-2 draw.
The final fourth-round tie takes place on Tuesday when Rangers B host Championship outfit Airdrieonians.
Jordan Allan's sixth-minute penalty was the difference at the Falkirk Stadium as John McGlynn's side extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches and inflicted Queen's Park's sixth loss in eight games.
Holders Hamilton Academical, who are level on points with Falkirk in League 1, comfortably defeated Lowland League side East Kilbride 5-2.
Goals from Joel Mumbongo, Connor Murray, two from Kieran MacDonald, and an Aaron Arnott own goal made it a serene afternoon for John Rankin's team.
It was comfortable too for Morton at Cappielow, with Robbie Muirhead's hat-trick helping them to a 4-1 victory against Kelty Hearts, who had levelled through Reese Lyon before the break.
Meanwhile Callum Smith, Dylan Easton, and Josh Mullin ensured Raith Rovers also progressed, at the expense of League 1 Montrose, who scored a late consolation through Paul Watson as it ended 3-1 at Stark's Park.
Dick Campbell's Arbroath were pushed by third-tier Queen of the South, who led at the break at Palmerston through Kyle Doherty.
But second-half strikes from Jay Bird and Michael McKenna turned the game in the visitors' favour.
And in Wales, TNS came from behind against League 2 East Fife having initially taken the lead through Brad Young.
Alan Trouten and Connor McManus had the Methil side on course for the quarter-finals, but Ryan Brobbel's 76th-minute penalty forced a shootout after 90 minutes.
East Fife's Kieran Mitchell was the only player to miss as TNS squeezed through.
